Night Under the Stars

Ryan Parker is a 5th generation Coloradan and committed to the four pillars of his life - Faith, Family, Country, and Community. A graduate of Regis University in 1999, Ryan has traveled the world as a volunteer living by the mission of "Men and Women in Service of others." A Realtor of 22 years, a Senior Real Estate Specialist and EcoBroker Ryan is dedicated to community outreach, sustainability, energy conservation and being a good steward. In his continued efforts to preserve Colorado, Ryan is a member of the Nature Conservancy, Chairman of the International Dark Sky Association - Colorado Chapter and founder of the Castle Pines Astronomy Club. He is on a quest to inspire others to use "Good Neighbor Living” practices for responsible lighting  that  eliminates  light  trespass  and  pollution  for  a  healthier   and   happier  Colorado. Ryan believes in being proactive in making a difference and strives to protect our natural night and landscapes for future generations. Ryan is married with 3 kids and together they love to watch movies, explore nature, study stars, ride horses and collect old trucks.

Watch the Perseids Meteor Shower.

The Perseids Meteor Show is one of the best of the summer.  Peak times will be August 11-13th.  The Citizen Advisory Committee and the Town of Blue River invite you to turn off your lights on Wednesday, August 12th starting at 9:15 p.m.  Step outside, go to Town Park or the Tarn and view the show.  Click on the photo below for more information about the meteor shower.
