A Town of Blue River Business License is required for all contractors and subcontractors. All Plumbing and Electrical Contractors are required to provide a copy of their current State issued Masters License with the submission of their Business License.

....Apply for a Type A Permit
Type A Permits:
- New Construction
- Plat Amendments
Type A Permits require approval from the Planning & Zoning Commission. The Planning & Zoning Commission meets once a month on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. Click on the image to be redirected to the Type A Permit page.
..... Apply for a Type B Permit
Type B Permits Include:
- Shed/Small Structures
- Excavation (Septic, Sewer, Utility, General)
- Landscaping (Involving features, retaining walls, fire pits)
- Chicken Enclosures
Type B Permits do not require Planning & Zoning Commission Approval and may be approved by the Building Official. A site plan is required. Click on the image to be redirected to the individual permits.
Inspections are conducted Monday-Friday and must be scheduled by 4 p.m. the day before. Monday inspections must be scheduled by 4 p.m. Thursday.
